Meet the Team
Ira Port, DMD:
Ira Port is a periodontist and implant specialist who has been practicing periodontics since 1979 and has been placing implants and rebuilding smiles since 1984. Dr. Port has successfully treated thousands of patients and has developed techniques for bone grafting, implants, and tooth splinting, as well as painless injection and sedation procedures to maximize patient comfort during any surgical procedure.
He is a former dental consultant to Osteotech and was the first dentist in the U.S. to use Grafton Bone replacement therapy in private practice. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine and Post Doctorate in Periodontics from Rutgers University Medical School (previously UMDNJ). Dr. Port also holds a BS in chemical engineering and BA in business administration from Rutgers University.
Dr. Port is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. In addition, Dr. Port is a clinical instructor at Jersey Shore University Medical Center’s Dental Clinic.
Austin Port, DMD:
Austin Port is a general dentist that grew up in Ocean County, NJ. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Rutgers University Medical School and also holds a BS in Bioengineering from the University of California San Diego. He completed his General Practice Residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Port is well versed in all aspects of general dentistry, having successfully treated thousands of patients. He provides outstanding clinical care with a gentle touch.
Jessica Hough:
Jessica is our highly talented and personable office manager, who brings over a decade of experience in dentistry to our team. Born and raised in Toms River, NJ, Jessica has a deep-rooted passion for helping others, and her friendly and knowledgeable demeanor make her a true asset to our practice. With her extensive experience, Jessica has honed her skills in handling all aspects of scheduling, insurance, and finance questions, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care and support. In her free time, Jessica enjoys gardening and going to the shore.
Jill Markley:
Jill is a highly skilled registered dental hygienist with over 25 years of experience in the field. She grew up in Newtown Square, PA, and attended the University of Delaware and Philadelphia Community College. Her commitment to providing excellent patient care has been a driving force throughout her career. She takes great pride in educating patients about the importance of oral health and helping them improve their dental hygiene. She is known for her gentle touch and compassionate approach, which puts patients at ease and creates a welcoming atmosphere in the office. In her free time, Jill enjoys following football and spending time with her family.
